Web History

I started making websites in 2003. My first customer was my father, who needed a website for his company (teleschu.de). It was done with Netobjects Fusion, a good application to begin making websites with. As I advanced in website programming, I found out the major programming language PHP (in connection with MySQL). At that time, I quit using Netobjects as well as Frontpage, which I seldomly used, and began to use PHP / MySQL as well as valid XHTML / CSS. One of my first public websites using PHP is Peerstall Westvictorbur. It is a website for a small local company.
In late 2007, I registered on Odesk in order to get more customers and to improve my skills. I have successfully finished a few projects: a CSS redesign project, sliced a complete website from a Photoshop Illustrator file and translation from English to German and vice versa.
My latest project is a new website for a project of my father called Ich möchte ins Internet.de as well as my own website, which you are currently viewing :).

Game Making History

Around 2001, I started to make my own video games with Game Maker, a very good application to make games even if you don't know any programming language.
One of my first games was a simple maze game like Pacman. Since I began coding (PHP, MySQL, C++, Delphi), I improved my GML (Game Maker Language) skills to be able to make better games. My second game called "Tonnen-Man" is a 2D platformer game with a short plot in which you control a trash bin and try to collect garbage.
After I completed the game in early 2004, I tried to develop many games, which I haven't finished yet. You can view them on the Projects page. My latest game which I finished is called "Goalgetter". You can view and download it on the Games page.

Poker history

One day in school, my new teacher asked me about my father, because he went to school with him. He told me he was playing poker with some friends very often when he was not attending to school. I am also playing poker with some friends (not at school time, though ;)), but mainly on the internet. 2007, I registered with Pokerstrategy.com, where I got $50 for playing poker for free. By now, I won a few hundred euros and many cool items from amazon-gifts, which I also received from playing poker. For example, I got a new Nintendo Wii for free in 2009 worth 250€! Additionally, I got some t-shirts, books, a board-game, jewelry for me and my girlfriend and much more stuff. For free! That's cool!
If you register with the link above, we will both get money for free. That's even more cool!

Video Gaming History

My father often tells me I was able to install my NES on the TV on my own when I was 3 years old. At that time, my video gaming 'career' was starting. I played Zelda, Super Mario 1-3, World Soccer, Battle Of Olympus and many more games until my mother 'forced' me (and my father, occasionally) to go out :).
When I was a proud owner of an SNES at the age of around 6, Super Mario Kart was my favorite game. I played, of course, one of the best games in video history: Zelda: A Link To The Past and many other games as well.
At the age of 10, I received a Sony Playstation. Metal Gear Solid and Discworld 2 were the games I have played the most.
The first game on the PC was a fighting game like Tekken on the PS. My father was angry when I installed the game every time, since it was around 100mb large and used almost a third of remaining harddrive capacity ;). I did not play games on the PC very often until I got my own one at the age of 12. Playing Starcraft with a 56k modem was very cool at that time. Also, I played The Settlers 2 and many more games.
When I discovered Counter-Strike on a "LAN-Party", my "eSport"-career started to begin. I played in many different clans, the most famous one was probably "Snook", which was one of my first clans, too. After some time of inactivity, I switched clans many times but did not really play seriously anymore. I played in the "CS 2on2 ladder" on ESL with a good friend and reached the Top10 until we quit playing CS.
In 2003, I discovered "Quakeworld", a modification of the famous game "Q1", which was released 1996. I liked the game very much, because it is fast-paced, fun and there is still a small but nice community. I played in several german clans like "P1mpology", "Be Evil", "Smack that Ass" and "Dies-Ater", which is my current team. There are a few leagues and tournaments organized in order to keep up the remaining players as well as to get new ones.
Right now, I am playing Quakeworld actively in "Dies-Ater" and the German National Team.
